Investments in clean and competitive energy start to obtain the expected outputs with the opening of gas pipeline facilities in the city of Gandia. The infrastructure is 40 kilometers long and will cover the cities of Villalonga, Gandia and Oliva. It had cost about 9 million.

It is estimated that the first phase of the project is supplying 14 towns of La Safor but will eventually be 35 at the second part of the project, which will reach the region of Valle de Albaida. Therefore, about 200,000 people will have the service.

This production is accompanying the achievements to date with “the solar thermal energy in the dwellings and vehicular natural gas for buses, taxis and garbage trucks”, he concluded.

Iveco will provide more than 370 GNV vehicles to cleaning companies of the city of Barcelona

After the meeting of the “Foro Pro Clima” in Madrid and the promise from more than 35 of the forum big companies of converting 6% of their fleets to green fuels, the Italian company Iveco announced that they will provide to the cleaning services companies of the Barcelona city with more than 379 NGV light and heavy vehicles. In this way, the entire cleanup of the city will be entrusted to NGV trucks as soon as these units begin to operate.

Barcelona is not the only Spanish city that methanized its cleaning service and public transport, not only because this fuel economy, but also the low level of contamination. In a similar way, Madrid assumed the European Community commitment on low down toxic emissions produced by transport, and this is demonstrated by the large amount of natural gas public vehicles, buses and trucks, pointing out the interest of the population in an environmentally friendly alternative.

Thus, the Spanish capital was chosen as host for the International Conference and Exhibition 2009 GNV Madrid, to be held from 17 to June 19 this year in Pavilion 1 of the Feria de Madrid. The event, hosted by NGVA Europe, will gather the main actors and experts from the Old Continent and the world who will expound on current and vital issues related to the development of natural gas, biogas and hydrogen for transport. An exhibition of products and services will also take place during the three days of conferences and seminars.

La empresa Ham anunció que pondrá en funcionamiento tres nuevos puestos de reabastecimiento de GNV en Cataluña, España. Estos establecimientos serán los primeros de la región en suministrar este energético para el uso público.

La primera de estas estaciones fue inaugurada recientemente, en Abrera, y las otras dos comenzarán a operar antes de mitad de año, una en la ciudad de L'Hospitalet, y otra en Sant Sadurní d'Anoia.
